The Simply, One Company

Simply, One is formed and operated through the University of Oklahoma’s First Fidelity Bank Integrated Business Core (IBC) Program. This program provides valuable, real-world business experience to students by allowing them to form and run OU merchandise companies. IBC students also participate in community service and donate a significant portion of their profits to philanthropic organizations.

Donation of Profits:

At the end of the semester, Simply, One will donate a portion of our profits to the non-profit Doing What I Can (DWIC). DWIC is a Norman charity founded and run by Steve Warren. We chose DWIC because we believe in its mission of providing food and supplies to locals experiencing homelessness. Every Sunday, Steve and a small group of volunteers prepare 160 meals and assemble toiletry bags to distribute to unhoused individuals in the Oklahoma City metro area. Simply, One is further supporting DWIC by providing the opportunity for customers to purchase socks to be donated directly to the charity. DWIC has only been up and running for two years, and donations are aimed at maintaining operations with the hope of expansion. We hope that our donation of funds can help DWIC continue to help our neighbors in need.

Donation of Time:

Simply, One will be donating our service hours to Loveworks Leadership, Inc. this semester. Loveworks is a local non-profit leadership organization that gives young students a chance to learn life skills in a safe environment. Our role as volunteers will be to train and mentor these young leaders, as well as complete housekeeping duties, to enhance the students’ experience. We will go through training to ensure that we are best suited to work in this environment. Our company President, Jordan Kott, has personal ties to the program and is very passionate about passing down her knowledge. Loveworks has worked with the IBC program multiple times in the past and we are excited to pair with them once more.
